4 Actionable "E's" You Need For Your Inbound Sales Team: Pt. 3

Engage

It is important to include your inbound sales team in key meetings, and keep them in the loop about what your other departments (i.e. marketing, operations, product development, etc,) are up to. Sales and marketing need to be in line with their goals, expectations, and definitions of what is considered a qualified lead. Keep your sales team informed by including them in campaigns, teaching them about marketing tools, encouraging their feedback and occasionally including them in non-sales calls (i.e. onboarding, client interactions, etc.) so they understand the entire process.

4 actionable "e's" you need for your inbound sales team: pt.3

Some of the best sources of information come from the frequently asked questions that they hear during these prospect calls, so make sure you have a good way of documenting those and internally sharing the preferred responses.

A tool we at Hüify are very fond of that helps us stay engaged even during the busiest of times is Slack. Slack is an internal, freemium internal chat program that allows for quick and easy communication - without interrupting or putting coworkers on the spot. Slack allows for file sharing, saved interactions navigable by keyword search, and organization by channels, groups, direct messages, clients -- you name it. Slack also has the capability in the paid version to communicate and share externally with other affiliated firms.

But perhaps the best part of Slack is the integration it has with /giphy. Randomized gifs on-the-fly help describe and explain emotions and situations where words just fall short, and provide plenty of giggles throughout the day. /giphy PEW PEW is one of our personal favorites.

Other ways to engage your team is simply investing time in team-building activities. Organize team meals and out-of-office excursions (i.e. mini golf, laser tag, bowling, roller skating). The more you all get to know and like each other, the more inspired and engaged the team will be, the more invested they will be themselves, and the more willing they will be to dedicate their time for the greater good of the company. Building cross-department relationships will help build trust within the entire organization, allowing them to unify around a common goal. Inclusion = happiness.
