How can we best explain what it's like to work with Hüify? That's easy...with Metaphors. Hüify is Black Ops.

 

When people reach out to us, they have a lot of pre-conceived notions of what marketing is, what marketing will do for their company, what a marketing agency is and what they hope to get out of a marketing engagement (either with an internal resource or with a agency resource). Every agency in every culture is totally different and so I think it's a good thing to realize, what exactly are we getting even working with Huify, what does that mean, how are we different from another agency. The best way to put it, we are Black Ops for inbound marketing. We are the team that goes undercover, rescues the hostages or those leads that are flowing through the cracks and brings them to the sales team.

In order to do that we work fairly autonomously—we have a very clear goal that we need to approach, we have a very clear mission that we are going after. The more that we get into we get into the nitty gritty, the more we get into this relationship with our "mission control", or supervisors, or a client and the more we get into discussions with them on how we are doing every single little detail—the higher likelhood the mission itself will be a failure.

As an example, if you are Black Ops and you're going into some compound to rescue some prisoners, you're not gonna be calling mission control and telling them, "Hey we're thinking of going in this fence, and we'll take out this two guards and we're then we're gonna sneak through this passage."

You're gonna have to decide what to do according to circumstances because things are gonna change, things are gonna come up, you're gonna have to act quickly, respond quickly, make changes, alter plans, but at the end of the day you're gonna get the mission done. In marketing it's very similar obviously we don't have hostages at stake. However, we do need to act quickly and we do need to respond quickly and every single little thing we have to check back with mission control, ultimately we're not gonna reach our goal as quickly as we could have if we worked autonomously.

So that culture of working to get the job done, and changing things, even at times tweaking a plan, to act quickly and to accomplish a goal is really a culture that not all business are right for. On paper you may be perfect fit for what we do but the culture of your organization might be slow moving, might be slow to change, might be very rigid in the way that you need to have things planned 12 months in advance and you cannot deviate from your supposed plan.

Those are things we'd have concerns with because we know that in our industry, when new platforms pop up, buyer habits change a lot faster than they may in other industries so we develop accordingly to get the job done.
